Many Japanese companies hold training sessions for new employees at the beginning of their new fiscal year in April. This year (2015), Japan Systembank Corp. also held a training that continued for nearly one month, and it ended with a zen meditation program at Daianzenji Temple in Fukui City.
First, they listened to a sermon by the temple's priest, Genpo Takahashi.
He told them that Zen meditation is to realize that being alive is a miracle.
After the meditation, they enjoyed Buddhist cuisine lunch with gratitude, and they finished the entire training.
