Although the time between flowering and full bloom of cherry blossoms went by so fast in Fukui this year, inoue1024 took beautiful images of representative cherry blossom viewing spots of Fukui. I think that the wooden castle tower above the cherry blossoms in full bloom suits another name of the Maruoka Castle, "Haze Castle".
Maruoka Castle Park was chosen as one of "100 best cherry blossom viewing points in Japan" together with Asuwa River and Mt. Asuwa Park.
It is said that the castle was built in the Azuchi-Momoyama Period and it has the oldest existing castle tower.

What was the scenery that Japanese military commanders saw like at that time?
